Lightroom 2 is Now Out!	Adobe is now offering Lightroom 2 (as of July 2008). This is the first upgrade to Lightroom 1.xx. It has some great added features to a great photo editing program. People thinking of getting Lightroom (photo editing program) or who just purchased Lightroom within the last month should get Lightroom 2 (per Adobe you can get the upgrade free if you purchased Lightroom 1.xx within the last month).
Auto Focus AF Lock	Ever wonder why in some shots the leafs on the trees are in focus and great aunt Margaret and your mother are out of focus? Auto Focus/AF is great but it can have a mind of its own. To help the camera understand what is to be in focus you can use your “Auto Focus/AF Lock”, most all cameras have them. (Full Story)

Eneloop Re-Chargeable Batteries by Sanyo	Point “n” Shoot camera’s batteries always showing “Low Battery” when needed? Got the Answer: Eneloop Re-Chargeable Batteries by Sanyo There is a new Re-chargeable battery out called “Eneloop” by Sanyo and it is ready to use off the store shelf and seems to maintain its charge. I was tired of my Point “n” Shoot camera always reading “Low Batteries” when I wished to take a photo. With the Eneloops the problem does not happen anymore. (Full story)
Lassen Park open	Lassen Park's road is now open all the way through from Manzanita Lake to the South Entrance. I took the drive on June 1st and there is still some snow at the higher elevations (especially at the Summit and Lake Helen). Depending on the weather which has been hot and cold the snow might not be around too long, so grab your photo gear and head up to Lassen Park.
